Paid parkings in Ghent
Almost all of these parkings in Ghent are paid and underground.
Parking Sint-Michiels
Parking Sint-Michiels near the Korenmarkt contains 472 spaces and is open 24 hours a day. The underground parking is located in a low emission zone and has to be paid for. Parking rates can be found here. As with the Ramen car park, there are different rates for day, night and Sunday.

This parking is underground and has camera surveillance.
5 min walk to Sint-Niklaasstraat.
when you leave the parking lot turn left, then walk straight until you meet alexiane square. There you turn left and walk straight ahead until you see St. Nicholas Street on your left. Turn here and walk until you reach the residence.
Parking Ramen
Ramen is located in the low-emission zone and is recommended for long term parking. There are different rates for day, night and Sunday. You can find the rates here.

Free parking in Ghent
P+R Watersportbaan
This parking in Ghent is a park and ride you can park for free and take the shuttle bus to the center of Ghent. This parking lot is located outside the low-emission zone.
How to get there?
– From the R4 inner ring road: exit E40/N466/Blaarmeersen. Take the first exit to the right (Blaarmeersen). The park-and-ride is on your left.
– From the R4 Buitenring/N466: exit Gent N466/Blaarmeersen. Cross the bridge and then turn right, follow Blaarmeersen. Take the second exit to the right, and follow Blaarmeersen. When you reach the Zuiderlaan, you will see the Park-and-Ride on your left.
P+R The loop
Like the previous P+R, here you can park for free and take a shuttle service or public transportation to the city. Here there is no shuttle service but plenty of public transportation. For example, you take line 1 to the city. The parking lot is outside the low-emission zone and has charging stations available.
How to get there?
– From Antwerp (E17): exit R4/Expo-The Loop at the Zwijnaarde interchange and follow the ExpoThe Loop signs.
– From Kortrijk (E17): at the E17 interchange, turn onto the E40 in the direction of Ostend and follow the ExpoThe Loop signs.
– From Brussels or Ostend (E40): take exit 14 in the direction of Expo-The Loop.
Oude houtlei
On Sundays, you can park your car for free on this street. Please note that this is only on Sundays! From Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 7 pm you pay €1.50 per hour, but you may park for up to 3 hours.
Oude houtlei, 9000 Ghent
Same street as “the oald oak” stay. Search for number 115 in the street.
Interparkings
These car parks are owned by an outside company called interparking. These car parks are slightly more expensive than car parks founded by the city itself.
Interparking Zuid
De Zuid : gateway to the city of Ghent . The car park is located under the Gent-Zuid shopping center. In the immediate vicinity you will find the Capitole theater, the Minardschouwburg, the Vooruit cultural center and De Krook city library. Prices can be found here.

Interparking Kouter
The car park is located under the square of the Sunday flower market right next to the Flemish Opera and the theater ‘ de Handelsbeurs’. The parking is accessible on both sides of the square. Prices can be found here.
