La casita
La Casita is a small bar located behind Saint Salvator’s Cathedral. This bar is suitable for everyone. Drink your wine, La Casita has some great wines. Still a beer lover, they only offer interesting beers on taps such as Saint Bernard and the iconic Brugse Zot. But the young owner Nina Corty her specialties are tasty fresh cocktails! The bar in Bruges is a project of Ran Van Ongevalle and his wife Janah Van Cleven. After the success of the pop-up bar Palo Cortado last year, they decided to run a permanent bar. On the menu, of course, are the cocktail classics, but also a whole range of so-called ‘vintage cocktails & forgotten spirits’ made with the best bottles that the Van Ongevalle family have collected over the years. The entire bar is immersed in vintage style.
Sometimes the owner organizes a guest shift where an experienced mixologist introduces new cocktails. Ran met these experienced mixologists during his world trip and at the Artesian in London where he worked for a while.
