According to locals, That’s Toast is easily one of the best lunch spots in Bruges.
Located in between the busy shopping streets, That’s Toast is the perfect spot for your lunch break. The small café has a lot to offer: Savoury and sweet toasts, breakfast plates, poke bowls or granola. The Triple French is one of the all-time favourites on the menu. They also have a great selection of drinks, from cold-pressed juices and roast coffees to Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Your hangover will be over in no time!
PS: It can get quite busy. Plus the rule is first-come, first-served, so come early!
Nomad Brugge
Nomad stands for No Ordinary Meals And Drinks. So if you like a challenge, this is your lunch spot in Bruges! It is definitely one of the most popular places where locals go to have lunch. You can find fresh salads with noodles, veggie lasagne and other crazy combo’s on the menu.
The kitchen mainly cooks with organic vegetables from their own farm. Moreover, for other produce and ingredients they cooperate with local farms and businesses. That is why we highly recommend Nomad if you value organic ingredients.
Blackbird
Escape from the crowds to the serene Blackbird café, a no-nonsense lunch spot and coffee bar. The presentation of the dishes and the excellent flavours make this a great place for lunch in Bruges. They also offer take-away, but if you can, we recommend to dine in. Visitors love the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. This little lunch café has a friendly feel and a cosy setting. It is the perfect lunch spot to spend a relaxed and lazy afternoon. The soups, bagels and bowls are tasty and very reasonably priced.
The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday to Saturday, Sunday is breakfast only.

Everyone knows L’Estaminet! Close to the Astridpark, this brown pub attracts locals and tourists alike. The interior has a retro feel to it and certainly adds to the atmosphere. This authentic café opens at noon, except for Monday and Thursday. Hearty meat dishes, pastas and salads are on the menu. The portions are big and the service is excellent. If you have lunch at the L’Estaminet, you will leave full and satisfied!

Lunchboutique De Belegde Boterham, which translates as sandwich, is a very refined and high-end lunch spot. The food is exquisite and beautifully presented with eye for detail.
They serve some of the best sandwiches in Bruges. De Belegde Boterham opens daily for lunch from 11:30am, but are closed on Sunday. If you are looking for a sophisticated and healthy lunch spot in Bruges, this is your best bet!
